Description
Opus Spiritus
Opus Spiritus is less an image of the spirit than a stage on which it refuses to remain still. Beneath the broad arch, bodies crowd, lean, recoil and seem to press against the limits of their own forms, while isolated presences rise into the luminous space above them. The sacred architecture of the icon remains, but its serenity has been disturbed: order gives way to restless human energy, and revelation to uncertainty. Here, spirit is not detached from the body but entangled with it, emerging through struggle, desire and the continual tension between what takes form and what threatens to dissolve.
