Description
The Oracle
Part of Mediterranean Icons, this work presents a solitary, sculptural figure standing against a deep, earth-red field, evoking the solemnity of an ancient divinatory presence. The central form appears both upright and eroded, as if emerging from layers of time, while the surrounding side compartments contain fragmented silhouettes that echo its gestures. These peripheral figures act like shifting attendants or reflections, expanding the Oracle’s aura into a wider symbolic space. The emerging movements suggest revelation as something partial and elusive; a voice that rises from shadow, silence, and the rough textures of memory.
