The Thread of Truth (Icon GY-01)

‘The Thread of Truth’ is part of the art project ‘Mediterranean Icons’, inspired by Byzantine iconography and reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. This particular artwork features a custom-made arched frame, reflecting the classic formats of religious artworks. However, in the ‘Mediterranean Icons’, the subjects are profane. In this piece, transcendence is found in the luminous quality of the painting, while the figures twist and turn, representing elements of the artist’s subconscious world.
