Part of Mediterranean Icons, this work transforms Byzantine-inspired compartments into shifting symbolic zones animated by colour and texture. The central golden field becomes a stage where clustered forms rise, fracture, and reassemble, while the surrounding panels hold fleeting figures and faces like traces of memory. These emerging movements suggest a drama shaped by light itself: a force that reveals, distorts, and reshapes reality. Here, the “icon” becomes an arena of transformation, where matter, gesture, and illumination merge into a single, living surface.
