Description
The Incarnation of Colour
Within the language of Mediterranean Icons, The Incarnation of Colour turns colour itself into a living presence. Across a radiant field of reds, pinks, ochres and shadow, fragmented figures and faces surface, dissolve and reappear, as if pigment were continually giving birth to form. The central space feels less like a fixed scene than a threshold where bodies, memories and gestures are absorbed into chromatic energy. Here, colour is not simply applied to the figure, it becomes the figure, carrying emotion, movement and transformation through the very substance of the painting.
