Description
The Original Scene III
Part of Mediterranean Icons, this work unfolds across a fractured golden field where figures emerge as if recalled from an ancient, half-forgotten vision. Fragmented bodies and shifting heads appear suspended within geometric patches of colour, creating a dialogue between order and disruption. Surrounding compartments hold additional silhouettes and drifting forms that extend the central drama outward, as though the scene were reverberating across multiple states of memory. These emerging movements evoke an “original scene” understood not as a single moment in time, but as a primal constellation of gestures, emotions, and luminous traces that continue to reshape themselves in the viewer’s gaze.
