Part of Mediterranean Icons, this work pays homage to Rosso Fiorentino through an expressionist reimagining of his dramatic colour and elongated forms. At the centre, a solitary figure in vibrant red appears suspended between movement and stillness, framed by vertical panels that suggest a fragmented architectural setting. Surrounding compartments contain faces, silhouettes, and ethereal sketches that echo the central presence like shifting memories or witnesses. The warm, textured fields of gold and umber recall Rosso’s emotional intensity while transforming it into a contemporary inner vision. These emerging movements evoke a drama of identity and revelation; a scene where the past resurfaces through light, colour, and the fluid contours of the human form.
